My name is Theresa Johnson and I am running for Monroe County Treasurer. I am Assistant Vice President of First Keystone Community Bank. I began my banking career at Security Bank & Trust Company. I am fortunate to have worked in all aspects of banking; Manager of Deposit Operations, Branch Manager and Consumer Lender.
I am a lifelong resident of Monroe County and a graduate of East Stroudsburg High School. I attended East Stroudsburg University and reside in Reeders with my husband Rusty, and daughters Amanda and Tiffany.
I have extensive involvement in the community and volunteered with United Way of Monroe County, Salvation Army, Big Brothers-Big Sisters Telethon, Big Pocono Little League and the Mc Michaels Hunting Club. I am also a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Appenzell.
I am a Republican but enjoy strong bipartisan like that of Claudette Segear, longtime friend, who has decided not to run for another term and has helped to get my campaign off to a great start.
I am overwhelmed with all the help and support I have received from everyone and proud to say that I filed with over 1000 signatures on my petitions.
I never anticipated running for elected office, but with my years of banking, accounting, auditing and knowledge I have gained over my career that I am uniquely qualified to be the next Treasurer of Monroe County. I am eager to serve the community and look forward to working with the residents of Monroe County.
